This Privacy Outline explains how Oxford Linen Loft collects, stores, and uses information in line with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

1. What We Collect

We collect only details needed to manage laundry bookings and respond to messages: your name, phone number, email address, and pick-up location. If you include extra notes about allergies or fabric care, these remain part of your booking record.

2. How Information Is Used

Personal details are used solely to arrange collection and delivery, issue confirmations, and maintain service records. We do not share, sell, or exchange your data with external advertisers or unrelated third parties. Our online forms use encrypted transmission (HTTPS) to protect entries during submission.

3. Data Retention

Booking information remains in our system for six months after completion. Messages relating to payments or invoices are stored as required by accounting law for up to seven years. When that period ends, data is securely deleted from all systems.

4. Legal Basis

The lawful basis for processing is your consent at the time of booking, combined with our legitimate interest in delivering requested laundry services. You may withdraw consent at any point by writing to [email protected].

5. Your Rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to access, correct, or erase your personal data; restrict or object to processing; and request a copy in portable format. Requests receive confirmation within thirty days.

6. Third-Party Tools

We use limited analytics to view anonymous traffic numbers. These tools record no personal identifiers. Email and hosting providers operate within the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area and maintain their own data-processing agreements.

7. Cookies

Our cookie notice appears on first visit. Non-essential cookies activate only after you click “Accept.” Details are listed on the Cookie Choices page.

8. Updates

We may revise this Outline to reflect legal or operational changes. The updated version will show a new date at the top of the page.
